Weleda City Spa

The brand Weleda is known by everybody, if only because of the striking sculptured characters. Weleda, an international concern that makes natural personal care products, founded in Arlesheim, Switzerland, in 1921, by the Austrian philosopher and scientist Rudolf Steiner, the father of the Anthroposophy and the Dutch physician Ita Wegman.  Organic gardens were planted to supply the natural ingredients for the products in a sustainable way.

For nearly a century Weleda has been working with products obtained this way. Apart from the personal care products the company also owns beauty salons at three central locations in the Randstad. In November 2018 the Weleda City Spa on the Aert van der Goesstraat opened its door. Here you can get pampered with a massage or a facial.

Visitors to the Weleda City Spa notice the “pleasant fragrances”, “the lovely ambiance, beautiful and tastefully decorated premises”, and “a relaxed experience”. Manager Lianne and her colleagues André, Kirsten, Laurence and Marie-Lène take care of the relaxing facials and massages. There are facials for men and women. To relax you have the choice of a hot-stone massage or a massage with arnica products. There are also sports massages.

Characteristic is the natural based holistic approach. This means that the masseurs and beauticians of Weleda City Spa look at your total picture and not only the specific complaints you might have. Products used consist entirely of natural ingredients. At the salons natural and sustainable products are used: wood, bamboo, paper and clay.  Sustainability and social responsibility are core values of the Weleda Company.
